History of our church
CHARIS MISSIONARY CHURCH was started in Limpopo Venda on 2nd April 1989 with the foundation and purpose of its existence centered on the following 5-columns.
Worship God in Spirit and in Truth
Communicate the Gospel through Evangelism
Educate Gods people through discipleship making a mission
Grow strong fellowship & partnership by making new members a part of the family
Serve the world through poverty alleviation instruments.
Implementation of these pillars facilitates the fulfillment of CMC vision, “to go throughout the whole world doing missionary work thereby also fulfilling that which CHRIST himself sent us to do as believers.
Mark 16:15 and he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.[/blockquote]
The Church was founded by the late Apostle and Dr. NL Khorommbi of Sibasa Makwarela. The name is derived from the scripture, “Titus 2:11 for the grace of GOD that brings salvation has appeared to all men” which forms a slogan for the church. The word CHARIS is originated from the Greek word KARIS, meaning GRACE.

History Of The Ministry
As the purpose of the Almighty God concerning this world unfolds, He has allowed a man to be born. That man's life has been controlled and directed by God himself. At the appointed time the Almighty God reveals himself to him. The path he would take is shown to him...there would be many days of preaching and teaching; many hours of traveling; many occasions of counseling others; many people; many enemies; much-untold suffering; much fasting and much praying ...but the divine vision he would receive would be certain and clear...he was appointed a prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ...an ambassador to the nations...a preacher of righteousness...a faithful steward of God that would be driven on by the zeal and knowledge and will of the Almighty God.
|We R On Facebook! We are the Army of God under the Order of Christ Jesus in his finished works. The very nature of him in father-son relationship. We are mentored teachers under a true apostolic prophetic mantle of true leadership. We are intimate and sensitive to the Holy Spirit the Comforter and Teacher (the Spirit of Christ) the Angelic Host and spirit of vindication in the finishing anointing for this end time. In preparation of his Coming, we have a special assignment and purpose for the finality of all things in the Father’s perfection. We walk in the Fruits of His Righteousness, Joy, and Peace, in the Holy Ghost. We seek the counsel of Wisdom for strategies in Fulfillment for the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God. As the history of mankind marches relentlessly toward its final hour, there is a longing in the hearts of a remnant of people to draw nearer to Jesus, to come into His presence like never before, and to hear the heartbeat of God. It seems the atmosphere is pregnant with a supernatural expectancy that something or someone is about to be released in the earth. There has been much talk over the last several years about the earth being filled with the knowledge of the Glory of God as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14), and it has been taught (and rightly so) that His Glory will be revealed through His people. But who are these people and what qualifies them to be carriers of this magnificent Glory representing the very manifest presence of God?

|Manifestation of the Sons of GodRavi Zacharias - Teacher
The popular author and Christian teacher was known for his work through Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), which focused on apologetic arguments for the existence of God and the reasonableness of Christianity.
He preached in more than 70 countries and authored more than 30 books in his 48-year career, teaching Christians to engage with skeptics and arguing that the Christian worldview has robust answers to humanity’s existential questions.
Zacharias was born in India and raised in an Anglican family. He recounted that his conversion to Christianity came while reading the Bible in the hospital after a failed suicide attempt as a teen. He immigrated to Canada at the age of 20.
Zacharias started his ministry with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA). A graduate of Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University) and Trinity International University, he was commissioned as a national evangelist for the United States in 1977 and ordained in the CMA in 1980. He founded RZIM in 1984, and the organization has grown to about 200 employees in 16 offices around the world, with more than 70 traveling speakers.
His best-selling book, Can Man Live Without God?, sold about 500,000 copies in 1995. His most recent book, The Logic of God: 52 Christian Essentials for the Heart and Mind, won the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s 2020 Christian book award in the Bible study category.
Late in his ministry career, Zacharias faced claims that he overstated his academic background and implied he had earned a doctorate degree. Over the years, RZIM and Zacharias’s publishers revised his biographies to clarify that he has received honorary doctorates and removed references to “Dr. Zacharias.”
Zacharias was also involved in a legal dispute over “sexually explicit” communication with a woman he met through his speaking ministry. Her lawyer said Zacharias had groomed and exploited her. Zacharias sued, and the lawsuit was settled out of court with a non-disclosure agreement.
Earlier this year, doctors discovered a malignant tumor on Zacharias’s sacrum as he underwent back surgery. He began receiving treatment for sarcoma at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
The ministry posted an update on May 8 saying Zacharias’s cancer was deemed untreatable, and he was sent home to Atlanta to be with his family. On social media, a wide range of Christians including Lee Strobel, Tim Tebow, and Christine Caine posted tributes with the hashtag #ThankYouRavi.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and their three children.
